The town of Andover is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist to join a high-performing and innovative municipal communications team recognized as a leader in the field.
Working under the direction of the Chief Communications Officer and Civic Media Manager, this role plays a central part in producing and delivering timely, engaging, and resident-focused digital content across the town’s communication channels. The Digital Communications Specialist helps ensure that residents receive clear, accessible, and relevant information through modern, multimedia formats.
A key area of focus for this position is translating town news, services, and initiatives into compelling short-form video and platform-native content. This includes supporting social media, website updates, email communications, and civic media programming, while maintaining a consistent and reliable publishing cadence across channels. The role also supports real-time communications, including service alerts and operational updates that affect residents’ daily lives.
