Job Description

As part of the Finance Team, the Director of Assessments performs responsible administrative, technical and supervisory duties overseeing and managing the operation of the Assessor’s Office; all other related work.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, economics, finance, business or public administration; professional courses in assessment administration and real estate appraisal; three to five years of experience in the valuation of property for tax purposes in accordance with modern assessment principles and with the application of laws and regulations; five years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Massachusetts Accredited Assessor or ability to obtain within two years of employment.
