The town of Andover seeks applications from innovative, energetic and experienced public managers to direct and promote a wide range of municipal services, including recreation, youth services, veterans’ services and elder services. The Director position is a member of the Town Manager’s senior leadership team and is responsible for developing and promoting high quality services in response to community needs. The Director is also responsible for operating and capital budget development and implementation, including capital project management. Successful candidates will have educational and work experience in general municipal government or one or more of the named areas within recreation and social services, as well as a collaborative leadership style and municipal budget experience.
Duties require a master’s degree in public administration, education, human/social services or related field and a minimum of five years experience as a municipal manager. Must be able to demonstrate successful leadership skills and supervisory experience. Salary $100-$130K, commensurate with experience as well as comprehensive benefit package.
