The city of Lowell is seeking qualified, experienced, and energetic candidates for the position of Director of Homelessness Initiatives in the Department of Planning & Development. Reporting to the City Manager or the City Manager’s designee, the Director of Homeless Initiatives will be responsible for overseeing the city of Lowell’s leadership and commitment to reducing individual homelessness and, to a lesser extent, support for family homelessness work as coordinated by the state’s integrated system. Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, public policy/administration or similar field required, master’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with non-profits serving individuals experiencing homelessness strongly preferred. The salary ranges from $68,863.08 (min) to $80,828.80 (max) annually.
