The city of Methuen seeks qualified applicants for the position of Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for managing the operations of all human resources activities for the city of Methuen, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, collective bargaining, benefits management, training, and workers compensation, while ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal policies, rules and regulations.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration or related field; master’s preferred; minimum of five years in Human Resources/Personnel, preferably in a municipal setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized, accurate and efficient manner. Candidate must be an established problem solver with effective management and public relation skills and be proficient with computers, particularly Microsoft office programs. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
