The town of Norwood is seeking an experienced and accomplished professional to serve as the town’s Director of Human Resources. The town of Norwood is located in Eastern Massachusetts, 14 miles south of Boston, 30 miles north of Providence, RI and 205 miles from New York City. Norwood was incorporated as a town in 1872 and has approximately 29,000 residents. Norwood has a representative town meeting form of government with a total approximate budget of $185 million. The Office of Human Resources is supported by a full-time Director, full-time benefits administrator and full-time human resources generalist, as well as part time staff. The purpose of this position is to perform professional work in administration of the town’s personnel programs; recruiting employees; ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local personnel laws and regulations; and counseling town staff on a variety of human resource matters; all other related work as required and directed. FLSA Exempt, management position, FY19 range $87,108.29 – $107,139.77 depending on experience (an additional 5% may be granted for candidates with a related master degree) plue excellent benefits including a strong commitment to professional development and the opportunity to assist in leading a dynamic team.
