The town of Carver (pop. 11,500) seeks qualified candidates for the position of Director of Planning who reports to the Town Administrator and serves as the senior in-house resource for all planning and economic development issues and directs the specific functions of the department. This all-inclusive department of planning, building inspections, health, conservation and zoning fall under the management direction of the Director. The Director performs professional, technical and administrative work in administering planning and land use controls, and in coordinating and shaping both the short and long-range plans of the community including community development proposals; and other related work as required in managing the department. We are looking for a seasoned leader with skills in these areas as well as project management experience. Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, business management or related field. A minimum of five years of experience in land use or municipal planning, and two years of supervisory experience preferred. Salary range: $80,753-$100,406.
