Successful candidates must possess the following:

  • A master’s degree in planning or related field from an accredited undergraduate college or university, and seven years’ experience as a Municipal Planner or a similar background in a planning related field; with three years of increasing supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to be bonded by an insurance carrier required.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification preferred. American Planning Association member preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate a desire and ability to contribute to municipal planning and development within a team environment.
