Full-time Director of Planning and Community Development- 65,000-70,000
This key position operates under the direction of the Town Administrator and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, integrating, and coordinating Planning and Community Development initiatives and activities, including regulation, grant, and community education. The Director provides technical assistance to other departments and boards.
The successful candidate must be a team player, excellent communicator and have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in planning, land use, community/economic development, or a related field; five years experience in professional planning, preferably in local government; strong citizen participation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. American Institute of Planner Certification (AICP) is preferred.
