The town of Hudson is seeking a qualified DPW Director to oversee street maintenance and construction, snow & ice removal, parks, cemetery and fleet maintenance, and to provide oversight to water and wastewater treatment plant operations and stormwater permit compliance. The department has approximately 50 full-time employees. This position reports directly to the Town Manager. The successful candidate will be fiscally prudent yet creative in his/her approach to problem solving and be able to organize and motivate staff and skillfully interact with residents, the business community and other department heads. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, public administration or related field, plus five years’ of public works experience. Additional desired qualifications include registration as a Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, and active Massachusetts Certified Public Procurement Official designation.
