Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The Newton Free Library serves a dynamic, library-loving community, making us one of the most active libraries in the state in terms of visits, borrowing, program offerings and items added annually to our collections. A dedicated team of more than 120 staff members and 800 volunteers make our library a “jewel of the city.”
The Director works under the general direction of the Library Board of Trustees, working closely with the Mayor and the Executive Team, the Library Director will provide leadership for the library system by directing and managing all operations of the Newton Library system.
