The Diversity and Inclusion Manager works with the Human Resources Director on matters related to Affirmative Action metrics, analyze statistics regarding employment data, application flow, hires, promotions, transfers, demotions, reorganizations, termination and other movement.

  • Ensuring the city follows appropriate legislation and employment law regulations around bias and inclusion.
  • Identifying external trends and recognizing best practice which will increase diversity among the workforce.
  • Reviewing the organizations workplace, policies and procedures, ensuring that these are all inclusive.
  • Identify professional learning needs and develop training for employees to help them embrace differences and build community.
  • Participate in or manage special projects, including but not limited to EEO/AA, ad-hoc reports, presentation and/or facilitation of diversity, equity and inclusion educational initiatives and facilitating work groups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director or designee
  • Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent area and experience related field and minimum of five years of experience that directly relates to the position responsibilities, such as experience in Human Resources supporting diversity and inclusion strategy initiatives and diversity recruitment is required.
