The town of Stow is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Public Works. This full-time (40 hr/wk), position is perfect for someone looking to take the next step in their career, or someone who wants to be hands on in making a big difference. Position oversees all staff in the DPW and all aspects of the highway and cemetery departments. The Director handles a wide variety of duties ranging from road maintenance and plowing to grounds maintenance, tree removal, and cemetery management.
Preferred candidates should have a bachelor’s degree (master’s a plus) in civil engineering, public administration, or a related field, and five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government with at least five years in a public works or public works adjacent department, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Position is FLSA exempt and on Grade 8 of the Wage Schedule, with an hourly range of $48.28/hr. to $63.37/hr. Benefit eligible.
