The town of Norfolk seeks applicants for a Highway/Grounds/ Solid Waste Division Superintendent. This position is directly responsible to the DPW Director. Typical work activities include; Planning, coordinating, and supervising Highway, grounds, solid waste and snow/ice operations, administrative and financial management. Directs and coordinates maintenance activities, capital improvements and road construction. Assures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time.
Must have extensive knowledge of the principles, practices, procedures, and the operations of Public Works. Preference will be given to Applicants with proven experience in Municipal Operations. Requires valid MA motor vehicle license. Massachusetts Class B driver’s license (CDL), and MA Hoisting license preferred, but not required. Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
