The town of Abington is seeking a full-time permanent addition to our Department of Public Works. The position requires general DPW tasks including, but not limited to, pothole repair, paving, street sweeping, field maintenance, mowing, and road maintenance. The position also requires participation in plowing, sanding, and sidewalk plowing as needed throughout any snow or ice events. Applicants must be available to work occasional nights and weekends. Must be at least 18 years old and will be subject to a CORI check. Candidates must hold both a CDL and Hoisting license, pass a drug test, have a clean driving record, and feel comfortable operating heavy vehicles and equipment.
The position offers a generous benefits package with a salary range of $19.47 – $21.66 per hour. Position will remain open until filled and a review of applicants will begin immediately.
