The city of Worcester seeks applicants for the position of Emergency Management Preparedness Coordinator. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of city emergency plans, coordination of preparedness projects, coordination and administration of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and response to incidents requiring Emergency Management staff. This position will be responsible for speaking to large crowds, large groups of stakeholders, and groups of city residents; as well as building relationships with all municipal departments. The individual in this position will assist in the distribution of supplies as needed and/or requested by the Director and Deputy Director. This position may work within the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and assume leadership responsibility for the planning section during operations. This position has on call responsibility which may require work outside of regular working hours, extended hours of work, and/or weekend work.

SALARY RANGE: $63,657-$83,402 annually, full-time, exempt, with an excellent benefits package.
