The city of Nashua seeks a full-time Energy Manager. Reporting to the Mayor, the Energy Manager will promote responsible use of natural resources primarily by managing the use of energy resources in municipal and school buildings, and to city vehicles. The Energy Manager will provide analysis, information and recommendations to the Mayor, and collaborate with utility providers, energy service and equipment providers to coordinate Nashua’s energy and sustainability programs. Qualifications include a four-year degree in engineering, technology, or environmental science and a current Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certificate and experience with LEED practices and building certifications is preferred. Knowledge of municipal administration, grant writing, and experience with EPA’s Energy Star Portfolio Manager is preferred. Must have experience in environmental and energy programs, with knowledge of the latest principles, methods, and techniques of renewable energy and energy efficiency programs.
