The city of Watertown seeks qualified candidates for an Equipment Operator position in the Water and Sewer division with the department of Public Works.
This role performs equipment operation and manual labor in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the city’s water and sewer infrastructure. The Water and Sewer division is responsible for ensuring the city’s Water Distribution system provides a high quality and dependable water supply and for the operation and maintenance of the city’s sanitary sewer and storm drainage systems.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, the ability to work alternate shifts and overtime. A Commercial Driver’s License Class B with airbrakes endorsement and a clean driving record are all required.
Hours: The work week is 40 hours with a schedule of Monday through Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm.
Salary: This is a union position with Grade 4-Step 1 starting salary of $67,275 ($32.21 per hour).
