Events Manager, Lincoln, Massachusetts

The John H. Pierce House (www.piercehouse.com) is an historic, town-owned property offering elegant facilities for weddings, meetings, and special events. We are seeking an organized, energetic, and unflappable full-time, year-round manager with a positive attitude and strong “people” skills to oversee the operations and management of the event business. Responsibilities include: overseeing events, conducting tours, scheduling bookings, managing vendors, preparing budget reports, maintaining a social media presence, and meeting monthly with the oversight committee. Salary commensurate with experience; an on-site caretaker’s apartment is optionally available as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications:

–three to five years of relevant professional experience, including some event management experience.

–Associate’s or bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.

–Willingness to work nights/weekends to meet business needs.

–Computer (MS Office) and social media skills.

— Very well organized and detail-oriented.

–Strong written and verbal communication skills.

–Appreciation for/familiarity with historic properties.

–Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

–Enjoys multi-tasking and works well under pressure.
