Executive Admin to Selectboard
Responsible routine to complex administrative and secretarial work in providing support services to the office of the Select board and Town Administrator; all other related work, as required.
Performs varied, responsible and confidential functions requiring comprehensive knowledge of departmental and municipal operations and the exercise of judgment in responding to inquiries, in dealing with the public, and in administering the functions of the office in accordance with established departmental policies and standards. Responds to situations not clearly defined by precedent or established procedures.
Coordinates preparation and production of the Annual Report.
High school diploma, with advanced administrative and clerical training; associate’s degree desirable; three years’ experience in a responsible administrative position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of office procedures and machines. Familiarity with town government. Working knowledge of departmental operations and relationships with other town departments and offices. Knowledge of state laws and local bylaws pertaining to various permits, special permits, and licenses under the Board of Selectmen’s jurisdiction.
