This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Director in supporting the operations and missions of the Human Resources department.

July 1, 2020 start date; $57,000 – $65,000

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide assistance and support to the HR Director with gathering information and preparing documents related to his/her duties (negotiations, employee relations, retention, meetings, evaluations) as requested
  • Receive and evaluate benefit day requests and verify individual accruals and process approvals and denials
  • Maintain electronic personnel files; scan documents into individual files as needed
  • Assist the Director with creation of promotional materials for recruitment and retention, as needed
  • Compile and process information for employee verification requests for outside agencies and forward to the payroll department for completion.
  • Initiate requisitions for ordering supplies, services, credit card purchases, conference expenses, membership, etc.; Assign account numbers and receive goods; process packing lists and invoices; maintains spreadsheet to track all orders.
  • Coordinate the logistical details of various recognition events including facility, catering, and awards.
  • Support HR Director with public record requests; tracking and fulfilling requests
  • Coordinate and  maintain fingerprinting requests and SORI/CORI requests as needed
  • Provide information and process tuition reimbursements and lane change requests; review documentation and process and track approvals and denials; generate payroll documentation;
  • Track expenditures, encumbrances and charges for pay changes and oversees reimbursement budget
  • Assists with the preparation of materials for events (recruitment, recognition, award)
  • Provide extensive customer service in person, via email and telephone
  • Maintain HR Directors appointment calendar, coordinates meetings
  • Serves as the greeter for the department
  • Maintain confidentiality of the information protected by the Department
  • Performs special projects
  • Performs similar or related work as required.
