The Executive Aide serves as the senior administrative aide to the Mayor of Marlborough. This position requires the ability to multi-task and exercise sound, independent judgment in a fast-paced municipal organization. This individual is involved in all facets of the administration of city government, including preparation of the city’s budget and capital improvement plan, policy agenda, communications (particularly social media), media relations, employee relations, and constituent services. Candidate will have ability to work independently across a wide range of disciplines and with each municipal department, board, and commission.

Bachelor’s degree with a preferred concentration in public administration, public affairs, government or political science. Advanced degree in similar fields strongly preferred. At least three to five years’ work experience in local, state or federal government. State House experience strongly preferred.
