Executive Director – Council on Aging

The city of Fitchburg is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of Executive Director for the Council on Aging. Under the supervision of the Mayor of Fitchburg, the Executive Director of the COA is responsible for the day to day operation and management of the Fitchburg Senior Center, including the supervision of staff, building maintenance, hall rentals and collaboration with other community organizations. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in gerontology, social work, public administration, human relations/services or related field, with a minimum of five years’ professional experience in programs dealing with the needs of senior citizens, with minimum of three years’ progressive management/supervisory experience. The salary range for this position is $60,528-$105,872/year.
