FACILITIES OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Town of Stoughton
The town of Stoughton is seeking applicants to fill the position of Facilities Operations Supervisor. This is a 40 hour, benefited, union position that works under the direct supervision of the DPW Director.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Professional, technical and supervisory work related to the reviewing and scheduling of routine and day-to-day maintenance, repair and construction work on town facilities, buildings, and grounds based on Capital Plan and Facilities Maintenance Plan prepared by the Facilities Manager. The Facilities Operations Supervisor performs and supervises tasks related to carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, environmental, safety, fleet maintenance, custodial and event coordination, and all other duties as assigned. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to details and project coordination.
Job Environment:
The employee may be required to work outdoors under inclement weather conditions and may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, explosives, radiation, and other hazards commonly found at construction sites. Errors in judgment could result in injury to self or other employees, damage to buildings or equipment, monetary loss, loss of service, and legal ramifications to the town of Stoughton. Additional work will be performed under typical office conditions, with regular interruptions from the public and other town employees. Administrative work is generally performed under typical office conditions including operation of a computer and general office equipment. Employee may be called upon to respond to after-hours emergencies such as fire, flooding, and severe weather—including, snow and ice removal—as well as power outages and other situations as needed.
Qualifications:
Recommended Minimum Qualifications:
Motor vehicle license holder; Working experience in various construction trades; OSHA certified; license holder in building or mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trades; excellent employee relations and customer service skills; excellent planning and organizational skills; and excellent data processing skills in the use of personal computers and pertinent office software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Starting Salary: $36.44 – $38.11/Hr.
