The town of Needham’s Department of Public Works is seeking highly skilled individuals to fill the full-time position of Finance Assistant. Under supervision of the Director of Finance/Administration for Public Services, this position serves as the primary staff member responsible for water and sewer billing. This position maintains data from meter readings, sets up new account, estimates values, processes billing for residential and commercial water and sewer accounts, Assists customers with questions, maintains records of permanent and temporary water meters, responds to customer inquiries related to water and sewer and schedules meter reads.
Four years of related experience, knowledge of office administration, administrative practices, and financial recordkeeping and excellent PC skills required.
