The city of Marlborough is seeking a full-time (35-hour) Finance Assistant. Candidate reports directly to City Auditor, analyzes/reconciles general ledger accounts, accounts receivable/accounts payable, data entry of revenues, journal entries, encumbrances, prepares internal monthly reporting, monitors/verifies accounts, balances and transactions, provides training on financial matters to city departments, supervision of a small staff. Requirements include bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentrations in accounting and/or finance, three years minimum experience in finance/accounting. A combination of relevant experience/education will be considered, municipal experience preferred.
Step Wage: $33.05 – $37.23/hourly
