The town of Littleton (population 9,400) seeks qualified applicants for the position of Finance Director/Town Accountant. The position is responsible to the Town Administrator, serves as Town Accountant and Chief Financial Officer, and has direct supervisory responsibility for the Tax Collector, Chief Assessor and Treasurer. The Finance Director also provides professional input to the Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, and elected Boards and Commissions. Attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, and an understanding the importance of timely information and transparency is essential.

Master’s degree in accounting, public administration or related field, seven to ten years of responsible experience in accounting or financial management, five years supervisory experience in municipal finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
