The town of Mendon is seeking a Finance Director-Treasurer/Collector. This is a full-time position, up to 30 hours per week, with flexible work hours onsite and remote. High level administrative position managing the town’s financial functions. Reports to the Town Administrator and assists the Select Board with the town’s financial goals. Performs technical accounting, financial and computerized functions in maintaining the fiscal records and systems of the town; administers all internal and external financial reporting requirements; and interprets and administers federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies relevant to municipal financial management.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; ten years of progressively responsible experience in professional, finance field including supervisory and municipal experience; thorough knowledge of Massachusetts municipal finance (UMAS) and budget management; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires ability to be bonded. If not certified by the Massachusetts Collector and Treasurers’ Association when hired, employee will be expected to pursue certification. Full-time, flexible up to 30 hours. Salary range $62,000-$80,000 plus benefits.
