The town of Grafton seeks a dynamic applicant to fill the position of Financial Analyst. The following are the essential duties of the position:

  • Responsible for monthly journal entries for commitment, abatement and mis posts. Assists Finance Director with ATM, STM, Tax Rate Recap, and year end closing journal entries.
  • Assists the Finance Director with monthly and quarterly reconciliations, including but not limited to Cash, Collector’s, Debt, Police Paid Detail, and Payroll Withholdings. Reconcile Trust Funds & Investments on a monthly basis with the Town Treasurer/Collector.
  • Reviews and processes yearly 1099’s.
  • Assists in the management of chart of accounts for the town.

The ideal candidate shall possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. As well as three years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Knowledge of Harpers Payroll, Vadar, and Softright software preferred.
