The town of Canton seeks a Fire Chief to provide overall leadership, management and administration of the Canton Fire department, including fire suppression and prevention; EMS; rescue; hazardous materials; emergency management; fire alarms; facilities; vehicles; personnel; training; and budget & capital oversight. Responsibilities include evaluating departmental services and coordinating with municipal departments and outside agencies.
Bachelor’s degree in fire science, business, public administration, or related field; five to seven years of responsible municipal experience (including three years in a supervisory role) required; U.S. Fire Administration Executive Fire Officer Program preferred. Valid driver’s license and EMT certification required.
Salary range: $187,000.00 – $200,000, DOE
