The town of Grafton is accepting applications for the full-time position of Fire Inspector under the supervision of the Fire Chief. Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to, advising Fire Chief on technical matters and acting as the appointed authority having jurisdiction on code and safety issues. Performing inspections as per the Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the regulations set forth under 527 CMR, NFPA and applicable regulations in 780 CMR. Associate of sciences (A.S.) degree in fire science required, bachelor of science (B.S.) in fire science preferred; one year of full-time experience in fire prevention, firefighting or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Firefighter I/II certification or equivalent required; Fire Inspector II Certification (or in progress); Fire Officer I/II (or in progress), Fire Instructor I (or in progress), EMT Certification preferred. CPR/First Responder Certification required.
