Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The West Bridgewater Fire Department, Office of the Fire Chief, is currently seeking one individual for the position of Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic. Previous experience as a firefighter in a municipal fire department (or equivalent) will be preferred but not necessary. Applicants must be certified at the EMT-Paramedic level or become certified at the EMT-Paramedic level within one year of appointment. Certification at the EMT-Paramedic level is a condition of employment and must be maintained throughout the individual’s employment with the town of West Bridgewater.
Applicants must successfully pass a thorough background check, possess a high school diploma and possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license. The applicants must also complete a recruit-training program through the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services. Residency will be a requirement for anyone hired under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (20 miles from the town of West Bridgewater).
Base salary for EMT-P $64,083 – $68,767.
24 hours on, 24 hours off, 24 hours on, five days off schedule.
