Entry-Level Firefighter – Southborough Fire Department (Southborough, MA)

The Southborough Fire department is seeking motivated, team-oriented individuals for full-time Entry-Level Firefighter positions. This role offers the opportunity to serve the community through emergency medical care, firefighting, rescue operations, fire prevention, and public education in a professional and supportive environment.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, valid Massachusetts driver’s license, current Massachusetts EMT-B certification (Paramedic preferred), at least 18 years old, and authorized to work in the U.S. Candidates must successfully complete a physical agility test, background check, psychological evaluation, and medical exam.

Preferred Qualifications: Massachusetts Paramedic certification (or active enrollment), Firefighter I/II certification, previous fire/EMS experience, and local residency.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary ranges from $78,162–$91,592, including paramedic and holiday pay. Academy-trained paramedics may start at the mid-range of pay scale.
