The city of Nashua is accepting applications for an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain, inspect, diagnose, and repair a diverse fire rescue fleet including on and off road light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. You will work as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service. We provide optimal working conditions including a modern, clean service area and access to specialty tools and equipment. Our mechanics provide their own basic shop tools. A valid CDL Class B license with airbrake endorsement and New Hampshire State Inspector License are required within six months of hire. Candidates must have a minimum of two years documented experience in a recognized vehicle repair facility, preferably specializing in diesel engines and large trucks or equipment. Emergency vehicle experience and ASE certification is a plus. We provide training and equipment to obtain licenses. You will work a 40-hour work week (4-10 hour days), weekdays, with opportunities for overtime.
