The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), seeks a Grants Management Administrator (hereafter, Administrator). This individual must have solid grants management experience. The Administrator will assist the MAPC Municipal Collaboration Team with the execution of a variety of federal and state funded public safety grants.

Examples of Duties

  • Coordinate the purchase and contract execution process for grant funded projects in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws;
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and stakeholders;
  • Monitor budget spending and ensure timely payment of all vendor invoices;
  • Provide inventory tracking support; and
  • Complete all grant reporting requirements to ensure compliance.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Knowledge of state and federal government grant processes and systems;
  • Prior experience in public purchasing processes and budget management; and
  • Ability to proactively set priorities and multi-task without compromising attention to detail.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and/or two years of relevant work experience.


The starting salary ranges from $50,000 to $60,00 depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time exempt position offering state employee benefits.
