This is a 30 hour/week, benefitted, union, position requiring flexible hours for Planning Board meetings. Duties include but not limited to: clerical, and administrative work in keeping official records, bookkeeping, and providing administrative support to the Director of Planning and Development. Other duties include: providing customer assistance; data processing; drafting correspondence; maintaining departmental accounts; tracking and registering official documents, plans, and sureties; recording filings, assisting with applications and plan filings; preparing meeting schedules, agendas, postings, and minutes in compliance with Open Meeting Law; maintaining official records and files. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of experience in an office setting, dealing with the public. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel. Must possess great attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to multi-task, and work accurately. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree with financial or bookkeeping experience. Experience in a municipal setting. Qualified union and internal applicants will be given preference.
