Wanted: Head Clerk in the Town Clerk’s office. This is a 19 hour, non-benefitted position. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Providing vital record requests (marriage, birth, and death), issuing licenses and permits, filing reports, genealogy research, tasks related to Town Elections and Town Meetings, operating the Voter Registration Information System, communicating with town departments and state agencies, and administrative work in support of the Office of the Town Clerk. Qualifications: An associate’s degree with two or three years related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, or training. Experience in a municipal setting and in dealing with the public. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and possess great attention to detail and customer service skills. All applicants must be able to pass a criminal background/CORI check and a pre-employment physical including drug testing. Starting Salary: $19.44.
