The city of Lowell is seeking candidates for the position of Head Filter Operator in the Water Utility Department. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager, Water Filtration Supervisor & other designated personnel and is responsible for the operation, lubrication and maintenance of electric water pumps in various locations of the Water Filtration Division; Assists in the operation of the filtration plant including the examination, inspections, repair, operation and maintenance of filters, connections, gates, valves, recorders, indicators, etc; Must have complete knowledge of the methods, materials, equipment and practices of water treatment. A current and valid Water Treatment Operators Grade 3 or higher license required. Salary range: $35.5832 (min) to $39.4304 (max) per hour. 40hrs/week
