The town of Holbrook seeks qualified applicants for the full-time (35 hrs./week) position of Health Agent. The primary duties are inspectional work and administrative follow-up related to the enforcement of state and local regulations pertaining to public health, safety and environmental protection. Responds to after-hours calls, attends monthly Board of Health meetings & any special meetings called by the Board, acts as a member of Emergency Preparedness region 5C. Duties include, but are not limited to, food, nuisance, housing inspections as well as permitting. Duties will also include contact tracing and disease investigation.
Knowledge Title V and Swimming Pool regulations are a plus.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or related field, Soil Inspection/Evaluator, Food Safety Manager or SERV Safe Certified, Pool Operator, Title V System Inspector or any equivalent combination of education & experience. Strong computer & interpersonal skills required. Must have valid driver’s license. Non-union position with salary and benefits per the Salary Administration Plan Bylaw.
Compensation: $32-$37/hr, commensurate with experience. Non-union position with salary and benefits per the Salary Administration Plan Bylaw.
