QUABBIN HEALTH DISTRICT
Inspection and technical work related to the enforcement and interpretation of public health, sanitation and environmental laws and regulations for the Quabbin Health District, which includes the towns of Pelham, Ware, and Belchertown; all other related work as required
Works under the general administration of the Director of Public Health and under the policy direction of the Quabbin Health District Board of Directors; works in accordance with applicable provisions of the Massachusetts general laws and local bylaws of the three communities
Performs routine and upon complaint inspections, completes written reports, issues orders to correct and maintains documentation, inspection schedule and appointments:
Food Establishment and Other Routine Inspections, Soil Evaluations, Rental housing Inspections, Plan Reviews, Nuisance Complaints, Tanning, Tattoo/ Body Art Facility Inspections, Pool/Beach inspections, Recreational Camps for Children, Lead Paint Determination, Beaver Permits and other similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
Education, Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field; two – three years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. MA Soil Evaluator DEP and ServSafe Certified. Registered Sanitarian or RS eligible preferred.
Salary Range- Benefits:
The Quabbin Health District offers a generous benefit package with an annual step compensation plan. Although commensurate with experience, the starting range is expected to be Step 1-3 which starts at $56,000 to $58,842 annually.
