Under the supervision of the Director of Building Maintenance, or his/her designee, the Heating System Coordinator will be responsible for supervising, managing and overseeing all aspects of Boston Housing Authority (“BHA”) heating and hot water systems in all BHA’s buildings and sites to ensure the most efficient and cost effective operations based on the system’s design, while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and codes. The Heating System Coordinator manages a staff of three to five skilled tradespersons. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or other related degree. Must possess a minimum of five or more years of progressive work experience managing facilities. Eight years of progressive work experience managing related facilities may be substituted for a degree. At least three years of supervisory experience required.
