The town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of HELP DESK TECHNICIAN for the Information Technology Department.

Reporting to the Information Technology Director, works cooperatively with the IT team.  This role requires a service-oriented mentality, high sense of ownership of the Service Desk requests assigned, a focus on managing and resolving issues, and ability to establish and maintain communication with personnel to keep them updated with the status of their requests. Responsible for daily end user support of all technology including but not limited to device support and maintenance, hardware and software inventory, basic network troubleshooting, printing, and other duties as assigned.  Provides set-up, configuration, repair and support for hardware, software, basic networking services and peripheral devices.  Isolate connectivity issue and seek support as needed for resolution.  Participates in system-wide technology initiatives, rollouts and pilots, and provides necessary technical feedback for proper evaluation.  Participates in informational sessions and training pertaining to innovations in technology.

Associate’s degree in a related field or experience in the field of technology repair.  Experience with various OS, IOS, Apple, Windows, Droid, Mac Linux.  Experience maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a multi-platform environment.
