Responsible for technical and supervisory work for the maintenance and repair of the city’s roads, sidewalks, drainage, snow removal, and traffic safety devices; by planning, assigning, and supervising work crews and equipment. Supervisor trains and evaluates employees. Incumbent is on call for emergencies on a tri-weekly basis.

AS degree in highway technology, civil engineering, roads maintenance, or related field, and five years of related experience. Valid CDL class B driver’s license and ability to obtain within 18 months, a NH Solid Waste Operator Certification and Pool and Spa Operator Certification. Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and construction techniques and regulations; knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to drainage, landscaping, asphalt applications; general knowledge of the maintenance of parks, trees.  Strong computer and mathematical skills to estimate job costs and monitor budget expenditures, and good administrative and customer service skills. Salary range: $55,564.38 to $67,424.15. This position is subject to overtime.
