Job Description
The town of Brookfield is accepting applications for the full-time position of Highway Superintendent.
The Highway Superintendent performs highly-responsible supervisory and administrative work in planning, organizing and directing all aspects of Highway Department operations, as well as functioning as a lead worker.
Requirements: Valid C.D.L. B (A preferred) with standard transmission endorsement; Lift/Hoisting License with 2A and 4E and 4G endorsements; Massachusetts Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record; Massachusetts Medical Certificate.
Preferred candidates will have five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in administration and management of municipal highway systems; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Welding, Mechanic, and Fabricating knowledge and experience are a plus.
This is a 40 hour per week, regular schedule with other hours as needed. Salary is up to $105,000 annually, based on experience.
