Upper Blackstone Clean Water is looking for an HR Assistant to perform routine administrative duties related to the filing and record keeping of personnel files, computer data entry, and other work as required. This person will be the first point of contact for employees and candidates so must be approachable, articulate, and compassionate and provide excellent customer service. Discretion and tact are essential skills for this role as much of the work is confidential. This role will work closely with the HR Manager and oversee the key areas of benefits, HRIS, recruiting and onboarding and be responsible for the day-to-day execution of HR issues.

Requirements: Three to five years of experience in HR policy and practice. Must be able to assess problems, problem solve, and communicate issues clearly. Familiarity with state laws including EEOC, payroll and leave policies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be organized, detail oriented and have strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently and reprioritize work on a regular basis.
