The town of Shrewsbury seeks a progressive, earnest & conscientious team player to join the newly created Department of Human Resources! This multifaceted role, working under the direction of the Director of Human Resources & closely alongside the Benefits Coordinator, offers the unique prospect to engage with employees across the entire organization. The Human Resources Coordinator will embark on the ever evolving journey of bringing innovative benefits, modern policies & forward looking procedures that can impact the entire town as well as specific Departments. Day to day the successful candidate will be responsible for duties such as leading the town’s recruitment efforts, managing workers compensation & 111F claims, coordinating communications for employee information changes, & managing confidential personnel files. Future projects include creating more robust onboarding as well as training & development programs, continued implementation of the Performance Based Appraisal System & supporting diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives.
