The town of Winchester seeks a qualified individual to serve as the town’s Director of Human Resources. Under the general direction of the Town Manager, the Director of Human Resources oversees all human resource functions of the town. Responsible for the town’s compliance with all state and federal employment laws, recruitment and onboarding activities, employee training, and benefits and compensation; participates in collective bargaining negotiations and acts as liaison to the town’s Personnel Board and as the town’s representative on the Winchester Disability Access Commission. A bachelor’s degree in public administration, human resources, or a related field and a minimum of three years of progressive experience in human resource administration is preferred (municipal experience is desirable). Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with personnel at all levels of authority is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
