The town of Dracut seeks a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our Department of Public Works – Building and Operations Division. This full-time role performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across town-owned buildings, including Town Hall, Library, Senior Center, Police and Fire Stations, and DPW facilities.
Working under the Building and Operations Manager, the HVAC Technician ensures safe, efficient, and dependable operation of HVAC systems, completes preventive maintenance, responds to climate control issues, and supports energy‑efficient building performance. Additional duties may include limited building maintenance and emergency response as needed.
Candidates should have three to five years of commercial or institutional HVAC experience, a high school diploma or GED, EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, and a Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License (full or apprentice). A valid driver’s license is required.
