The Memorial Hall Library in Andover seeks a dynamic and visionary leader for the position of Library Director. Working collaboratively with the Town Manager and Library Board of Trustees, the Director will determine the future direction and role of the Memorial Hall Library within the Andover community. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of long and short term strategic plans; supervision and leadership of a talented and dedicated library staff; and the overall general operations of the library including budgetary, building, technology and programming management.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in developing and implementing well-received library and community initiatives; skillful and exceptional leadership and communication skills; and expertise in the role and use of technology in a library, including social networking applications, graphic products, and email marketing. A master’s degree in library and information science, and a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in library operations is required.
