Positive, enthusiastic individual with a strong commitment to public service needed to direct the operations of a long established and active library serving a town of 4,500 residents. This library is an important and innovative center for community activities, and the position provides an opportunity to interact closely with all ages and interests. This position oversees a staff of full- and part-time employees and volunteers, administers the library’s budget and strategic plan, and manages its collection and community programming. The Director also works collaboratively with the Board of Trustees and interacts with the public as well as various municipal committees and personnel. Six years of experience, three of which are administrative, as well as knowledge of municipal operations and strong technology skills required. MLS strongly preferred. Minimum salary $65,000 with typical municipal benefits.
